Some 7th and 8th graders are wrestling in this weekend’s NYWA State Wrestling Tournament held at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester. The team is coached by Kendall Bigalk and Chad Otterness, and open with a familiar foe in Big Lake. Goodhue will wrestle 3 duals today and 2 duals tomorrow. Each day’s team session start at 1:30 p.m.

125 – Kaleb O’Reilly/ Carter Danielson
135 – Kelby O’Reilly/Kaleb Stern

160 – Mason Huemann
HWT – Parker Berg
At 5:30 p.m. each evening, the individual state entrants will compete. 7th and 8th grade qualifiers include Mariano Bigalk (120), Kaleb O’Reilly (125), and Kelby O’Reilly (130). In addition, there are two Goodhue qualifiers at the K-6 level: 3rd grader Derick Evenson and 6th grader Conor O’Reilly. Conor will open his round of competition on Friday and Derick on Saturday.
